Dr. Tracy Najera, Executive Director of Children’s Defense Fund (CDF) -Ohio, which published the Ohio’s Appalachian Children Report is eager to meet with AOP-20 Council members prior to our council meeting from 8:00 – 8:45 a.m. on September 20. CDF is preparing an update for Ohio’s next biennial budget process and truly wants and needs the Appalachian voice for input. If your schedule permits, we hope you will come lend the Appalachian voice to this important work which represents the children of our area.

Kick off our fifth anniversary year of AOP-20 hearing districts share how they are collaborating with staff and students in “Recognizing and Responding to Challenges to Student Learning.” Keynote Mike Maskoski, Ridgewood Local School Superintendent, will share his district’s experiences in implementing a districtwide approach to helping students.
